Last Day of School Party!

I know I'm working backwards, I'm trying to play catch up...

The last day of school we decided to have a late night party.  We had GG and her kids come over and spend the night, we had pizza, and played and watched movies!  Any excuse to have a sleep over with our cousins!!  It was kind of hectic with Beth's graduation right in the middle of it, but it was still loads of fun!

Day Camps & Princess Party

Last Monday, Kim and Aaron headed off to Activity Day's Day Camp and Cub Scout Day Camps.

Kim's was a Father/Daughter so Doug got to go with her.  She was sad to realize this was her last year to go, since she will be turning 12 in March and going into YW! Wow, That's crazy to think about!

Aaron went two days in a row.

The little girls were feeling very left out, they wanted to go.  So Emily decided to have a Princess Party with them!  They started out the morning, by getting their hair and make up done and dressing up like princesses.

Then they had their finger and toe nails painted.

They did various princess activities throughout the day which included,

tea parties,

dancing to princess music,

watching princess DVDs,

reading princess stories on the lawn,

They even had a special princess lunch with crown shaped sandwiches.

When everyone came home, we played soccer together for FHE
and ate ice cream when it was too hot to continue!  : )

June Pack Meeting

Bike Rodeo

We sure have been slacking on our Cub Scout awards with Aaron lately.  He did manage to earn a couple of patches at camp, though!

The kids brought their bikes and scooters and learned about bicycle safety.
They also go to ride their bikes through a bicycle course as well as make up a course of their own.
They were able to pass off stuff in their books and work on their bicycle belt loop and pin!

5 Down, 6 to Go!!

Finally got Bethanie's Graduation walk converted
so I could get it on here!

Congratulations to Beth

 for Graduating with

High Honors!!

She said it was all a blurr.

She is so excited to finally be done with high school!!

Grandpa Terry came all the way from Cali to see her walk!

He even yelled for her!
It's kind of sad they ask us not to clap or yell as they walk across.
They say it detracts from the ceremony.  I feel bad because I want to yell, It's such an accomplishment for these kids, but I can't seem to bring myself to go against the rules.  So many people do, anyway, so it makes me feel very non supportive of my grad because I keep quiet and hold to the rule.  Beth is the only one to beg for us to yell for her.  I'm so glad for my Dad to have been there, who had the guts to yell anyway!!
What are Grandpa's for???  Thanks!!!!

Right now she's working full time at a day care
here, in Bountiful, and loving it.
She's saving up to get her certification
to be a personal trainer.

We're so happy for you, Beth!!

Way To Go!

We Love You!!!!

Baby Quail & Scout Camp

Steven is headed to Goblin Valley for scout camp this morning!

Leaving for Scout Camp, he doesn't like his pic taken.

I was taking Steven to meet up with the other boys to go when I came across these cute little babies!!!
They weren't very happy that I was trying to get close enough to take their picture!

Request

I posted these on face book, but recently had a request to post some pics of Doug and me here on my blog, so here's a couple we took at Easter.

Penny, Here's a link to see my Easter pic post. It has our family Easter pic.

The rest are on face book!  :)

May Pack Meeting

I've tried to make a point of Aaron being able to earn something each pack meeting, and have done pretty good up until the last couple of months.  Just been crazy busy finishing up the school year.  I'm hoping to be able to change that during the summer break since we don't have to work on school for a couple of months!

Anyway he did earn his Scout O Rama Participation pin.  He sold tickets and took a turn helping to run the booth on the day of the carnival.

Afterwards we went outside to play relay games that were in the wolf and bear books.  The kids had fun running the different kinds of races.

End of Year Programs

First we had the 5th grade program.  Kim was so excited to show what she has been learning.  They spent some time learning to play the recorder and the ukulele this year and she got to play both in the program.  They sang and talked about having a dream and it happen.

Next we had the 3rd grade program where they sang and talked about 3rd grade traditions.  They even added words to the fiddler on the roof song traditions to fit their theme.  Aaron was in the square dancing segment.  I got the video, but not any pics.  It's way hard to take both and watch two little girls at the same time!

The 5th grade had a really laid back talent show.  Kimberly and her friend Savannah did a dance/lip sinc to the opening tangled song.  They did a great job.  Savanni's sister helped them with the choreography.

I was really impressed with all the 5th graders, they were cheering each other on and really making everyone feel good about what they were doing.  There was even one boy who got up there and choked.  He said forget it and walked off, they cheered him back onto the stage and then some of them went up there and danced with him!  Thought that was way cool!
