JDRF Run...I mean walk!

On Aug 20th we participated in the JDRF
(Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)  fundraising walk/run.  At least I thought it was a walk/run, but there were so many people on such a small trail, it was ridiculuous to try to "run" it.

Before it started they served, fruit, yogurt, and granola bars before the event.  They also had big blow up slides and such.

It was a 5k, we were supposed to walk around the trail twice for the 3.1 miles.  Some of us walked while some of us attempted to "run" along the edges of the tremendous crowds.  We got ahead of everyone and then looped them as we finished the route, we found out most of the participants only went around once!  What!?

We felt cheated!! lol  Oh well.

After they provided a hot dog lunch with a paradise bakery chocolate cookie! The cookie made it worth standing in line for the lunch.

Then there were all sorts stuff going on.  Radio Disney had a booth...Kim played a limbo game and did pretty good!

Doug and Steven kept themselves busy tossing a gatorade bottle first in the air, then back and forth.  It was pretty crazy how far and how high they were tossing that thing.

It made for a fun, active Saturday morning.
